Job Role & Responsibilities
- Interpret medical images, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to diagnose injuries, diseases, and other medical conditions.
- Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to healthcare facilities, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging findings and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
- Utilize teleradiology technology platforms effectively to access and interpret medical images remotely.
- Participate in continuous education and professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in the field of radiology.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and protocols within the teleradiology department.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior radiologists and support staff, as needed.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of residency training in radiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in radiology.
- Active medical license in the jurisdiction(s) where services will be provided.
- Fellowship training or specialized experience in a subspecialty of radiology (e.g., neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, abdominal imaging) preferred.
- Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of medical imaging modalities, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and concisely.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
