COVID-19 RADIOLOGY REPORTING SERVICE – AIDED BY EXPERTS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Note from the CEO

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus is the largest public health crisis in over a century resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths globally. In India it has already caused a major socio-economic disruption. Testing and early diagnosis is the single most important factor in containing the spread of the disease.

Although RT-PCR is the current gold standard for diagnosis, its availability is constrained, the turnaround times can be lengthy, and the sensitivity could be variable. Radiology (Chest X-Ray and Chest CT) have been demonstrated to be of significant help in early diagnosis and triaging of patients with suspected COVID-19 when administered alongside and complementary to the RTPCR testing program.

As the lockdowns end and activity resumes, there will also be a need to screen patients who present with other health conditions, prior to interventions. In this scenario, radiology combined with clinical evaluation might be the quickest way to screen and triage patients.

Radiology Reporting for COVID-19 has to be easily accessible, quick and accurate so that immediate decisions could be made on the next steps. ARI’s COVID-19 reporting service is a designed to offer such a service to both private and public sector organizations across India.

Our service will be led by Senior Specialist Thoracic Radiologists from the UK who have a significant experience in leading and providing COVID-19 imaging. A dedicated group of reporting radiologists will be supported by advanced COVID-19 Artificial Intelligence Algorithms which will enable a rapid analysis and more specific reporting.

We hope that our service will be able to contribute to the efforts to fight this pandemic by supporting the organizations and frontline healthcare personnel across the country. Please contact us at covid19reporting@apolloradiologyintl.com or complete the form below for further information on how to avail the service.
